FIREFIGHTERS were called to a major blaze near Craven Arms.
Six fire engines attended the fire at a fuel depot in the village of Clunton yesterday afternoon at 5.55pm.
They included the Environmental Protection Unit, the Foam Pod and the Incident Command Unit which were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Clun, Craven Arms, Shrewsbury and Tweedale.
They were joined by Herefordshire crews from Leintwardine and Kingsland.
A statement from the fire service said: "A single storey building approximately 30m x 40m and two heavy goods vehicles were fully involved in fire.
"Four main jets and two breathing apparatus were used to extinguish it."
Environmental measures were taken to protect the River Clun.
Fire fighters finished the job at 9pm. There were no reports of any injuries.
