LEATHER was very much in evidence in Cleobury Mortimer at the weekend with bikers from all over the country meeting at Lacon Childe School for the annual Borders Classic Bike Show.

The show was in its 25th year and had as its special guest former TT winner Peter Williams.

Bikes from 1919 to the 1980s were on display and there were plenty of machines to admire.

The relatively low running costs of motor bikes means that they remain a popular way of seeing the countryside especially during the summer as is evidenced by the number of machines on the roads of south Shropshire this summer.

Biking is for all ages and this was clearly seen in the broad range of people enjoying themselves at the show where refreshment was provided by the parent teacher association at Lacon Childe School.
