A FOOD producer in Cleobury Mortimer has completed a £750,000 expansion that has already created new jobs in the town.

Kudos Blends has invested the money in the expansion of its milling and blending facility, which will be used to produce baking powders for an increasing number of US and Asian clients. The company is also launching a new range of zero salt baking powders which are endorsed by the British Blood Pressure Association.

This product is already helping bakeries to provide reduced salt products and helping them to achieve their salt reduction targets.

Dinnie Jordan, managing director of Kudos, is also becoming a thought leader on salt reduction worldwide and she has been invited to speak at a number of high-profile bakery and health events in the United States.

The new facility was opened by Philip Dunne MP on September 9.
