CLEOBURY is gearing up for its annual beer and brass festival which takes place on Saturday.
A garden in the heart of Cleobury Mortimer will play host to this special event, accessed via a path next to St Mary the Virgin Church.
A fun day is planned with a line-up of local brass bands, a mini beer festival, a range of food and evening entertainment with the Mandolin Orchestra of South Shropshire and Hobsons Sea Shanty singers.
More than 20 beers will be available alongside five local ciders. This has been co-ordinated by the town’s brewery Hobsons.
The first sound of brass band music will be heard at 11am and continues until 7pm, with the lineup including Cleobury Mortimer Concert Brass, Bell Inn Brass, Leominster Town Band, Accidental Brass and Wellington Brass.
The beer and brass event is the first attraction of the Cleobury Fringe Festival, which promotes a full programme of events in September.
