A WALK through the gardens of Cleobury Mortimer will help raise money for church funds.

The walk has been organised by the Friends of Saint Mary’s Church Cleobury Mortimer and the Shropshire Historic Churches Trust.

A trail that winds its way around a number of private g ardens in Cleobury Mor timer including the pupils’ gardens at the Lacon Childe School will be on the itinerary.

The gardens are to be open for the public to visit, admire and no doubt glean ideas from during the afternoon of Sunday, August 7.

Most of the g ardens are within comfortable walking distance of each other.

Refreshments will be on sale in Saint Mary’s Church during the after noon. A plant stall will also be situated near the church.

Proceeds are in aid of The Friends of Saint Mary’s Church Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire Historic Churches Trust and Neen Savage Church.

Tickets are £3.50 per person with details and a map showing the gardens and will be on sale in Cleobury Pharmacy, Cleobury News and Spire hairdressing.
