Award-winning Heath Farm Meats of Cleobury Mortimer offers an end of summer treat

AN award-winning Cleobury Mortimer farm meats business is offering an end of summer treat.

Heath Farm Meats is inviting customers old and new to sample some of the delicious regional produce available in its award-winning farm shop.

Clive and Clair Gittens own and run Heath Farm Meats, at Bagginswood, which has been in the Gittens family for three generations.

For the last decade they have been supplying their own beef, pork, lamb, mutton and goat through their traditional butchers shop on the farm.

The shop was awarded Best Rural Retailer of the Year by the Countryside Alliance in 2008 and was regional winners for farm diversification.

Heath Farm Meats is a member of regional food group HEART of ENGLAND Fine Foods (HEFF), with which it has been working to feature a wide range of regionally produced food and drink in the shop.

Through HEFF’s Savour the Flavour retail scheme, Heath Farm Meats has received a free branded ice cream display freezer and bottle cooler for its dedication to stocking regional produce from the Heart of England.

Clive and Clair will be using the HEFF Delivery Service, HEFF’s unique distribution channel, making it easier to order and receive products from a number of HEFF producer members.

A selection of products including cakes, biscuits, cheese, jams and chutneys from its new range will be available for sampling across the four days.

Visitors can also meet some of the animals on the farm, explore the surrounding countryside or visit the nearby activity and equestrian centres.

Spend over £20 and get a pound of sausages free of charge on production of this article. Choose your favourite flavour from a selection hand made fresh on the farm.

A range of samples of regionally produced food and drink will be available today ( Thursday) until Saturday from 8am-5.30pm.
