CLEOBURY MORTIMER will be celebrating on Saturday (June 10).

Residents of Cleobury Mortimer are giving the town a lick and a polish ahead of their big community celebration that will showcase the town’s diverse and talented community.

From 10am until 4pm, locations around the town will be alive with activity.

The playing fields will host all those outdoorsy things that can’t or won’t go in a hall – the dog show, the Scouts and the town’s shiny red Fire Engine, along with a military showcase and an RAF Helicopter, no chance of getting that in a hall, as well as golf and fun runs for the kids.

Indoors, in the various schools, churches and halls, the town will show off its arts and crafts. Its painters, potters, and spinners, knitters, bell ringers and bandsmen and women.

There will be a fun town trail with questions to answer, things to spot, and goodies to be won. Visitors can call in and wander round some of the town’s beautiful open gardens.

Refreshments will be available all day and the town’s shops and businesses will offer tastings of their specialist produce.
