A DOG rescue centre near Cleobury Mortimer is hoping to give an early Christmas present to one canine who is feeling a little unloved.

Forest Dog Rescue is looking for a kind, loving home for Lottie – a female four-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

Lottie is one of the rescue centre’s longest staying residents having been given up by her previous owners because they were moving into rented accommodation and couldn’t take her with them.

Sadly, despite her friendly nature and joy in life, she has so far been overlooked by potential new owners.

“We can’t understand why Lottie hasn’t been snapped up,” said Emma Shaffery who runs Forest Dog Rescue

“She is a lovely, affectionate girl who ended up in rescue through no fault of her own.”

Lottie is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated and is said to be good with children and other dogs on walks but is rather territorial and would be best as the only dog in a home.
