A MAN in his twenties was taken to hospital with serious head injuries following a collision in Leintwardine last night.
Emergency services were called to the A4110 in Leintwardine at around 9.30pm where they discovered a car had rolled over following a collision.
A 24-year-old man had reportedly been thrown from the vehicle and sustained a serious head injury and suspected abdominal and pelvic injuries.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Ambulance staff stabilised the man’s condition and immobilised him with a neck collar, spinal board and pelvic splint before transferring him to the ambulance.
“The man was taken by ambulance using blue lights and sirens to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham; the MERIT doctor met the ambulance en-route to provide further emergency treatment to the man for the remainder of the journey to A&E.”
A second patient from the car was said to be ‘walking wounded’ and suffered minor injuries. The patient was assessed on scene before being taken to Hereford County Hospital as a precaution.
