Seeking ideas for young people A GROUP from Bishops Castle is working towards setting up a business run by young people.

The Bishop’s Castle Youth Working Group visited Moreton Hall School, near Oswestry.

Moreton Hall’s students run the longestablished Moreton Hall Enterprise Company – retail, beauty, and travel, even a bank.

The Bishops Castle Group has identified a Youth Company as a priority objective – an organisation run by and for young people in south Shropshire.

Peter Phillips, who once taught at Moreton Hall organised the visit that was hosted by Catherine Ashworth, who provided a briefing.

“We came away very impressed and with even more ideas,” said Charlotte Barnes, chairman of the Bishops Castle Youth Group who also represents the town on Shropshire Council.

“Our group has just got together so we are at the start of our journey. But youth activities and facilities in our area are a top priority.”
