Six Bishop’s Castle town councillors have volunteered to moderate a new interactive blog on the BCTC website.
Miranda Stanley and Stephen Farr have already been looking at the idea with Mike Ashwell, manager of the IT Resource Centre at Enterprise House.
Mr Ashwell is paid to maintain and update the site on behalf of the council, which is proud to be have Quality Council status.
One of the criteria for this award was to operate a council website and the town council sees an interactive element as the next step in involving Bishop’s Castle residents in community affairs.
Information about the new blog will be included in the next town council newsletter, delivered free to residents in December.
The six volunteer moderators are Jane Carroll, Stephen Farr, Malcolm Furber, Jim Gaffney, Miranda Stanley and Jock Wright and the interactive blog will operate on a six-month trial.
The council website is on bishopscastle.co.uk/council
