A LYDBURY North teenager looks set for success with her very first book.

Midnight Feast Magic is by Rosalind Peters, who launched the book at Cheltenham Literary Festival last week. Thirteen year- old Rosalind is the youngest author ever to be invited to a literary festival and she went to Cheltenham to answer the question: ‘How do you throw the most sumptuous of sleepovers?’ Written with the assistance of her mum, author Polly Peters,

Midnight Feast Magic is devoted to the planning, preparation, and creation of fabulous food and awesome activities for the perfect sleepover.

It is aimed at girls aged seven to 12 and offers Rosalind’s own experience-based suggestions for midnight feasting, fun and food.

The Peters pair were invited to the Cheltenham Festival of Literature to do a presentation in one of the venues specialising in family events, followed by a book signing.

The occasion was perfectly timed to celebrate the official release of the book two days earlier by publisher Frances Lincoln.

Midnight Feast Magic has already been reviewed by The Bookseller, with the prediction, “This will be a real hit.” Rosalind said of her trip to Cheltenham: “I enjoyed all of it.

Everyone was really friendly and the audience was lovely – which was great because it’s the first time I’ve done anything like this. Fortunately, all the people we invited on stage to be taste-testers said that they really liked the food too.”
