TO mark the centenary of Ford and Fordson tractors farmer Michael Williams who lives at the Twitchen near Hopton Heath in Shropshire is putting on an event to get lots of them together.

Michael admits to owning several of the tractors himself, the first one from 1955 and the newest built in 2004.

His event the Ford and Fordson Centenary Tractor and Ploughing will be on Saturday at Hopton Heath starting at 11am.

Michael is hoping to get over 50 tractors on the day to either take part in the ploughing or go on display for all to see.

At the event refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Michael has always loved Ford tractors and started driving them on the farm at a young age.

He is a regular driver in the local tractor runs and ploughing matches in Shropshire and Mid Wales.

All proceeds from the day will go to the Air Ambulance and Cancer Research UK.
