NEW councillors have joined Bishop's Castle Town Council.
They are Stephen Whittingham who runs the Happy Bap in the High Street, Grant Perry who runs Drovers Travel and is also a project manager for Eric Neville Catering along with Amanda Houghton who is a staff nurse at Bishop's Castle Community Hospital.
"I would like to warmly welcome all our new councillors and we now have a full house in terms of councillors which is really good news and already the new councillors are involving themselves in council matters,” said Karen Bavastock, Mayor of Bishop's Castle. –
“Stephen, or Whitty as he is known locally, is involved in the town's Christmas events, Grant has joined the finance committee and Amanda has joined the staffing and resources committee.
"The town council are very lucky to have the skills they bring to the table and also welcomes the commitment they have for the future wellbeing of the town."
