ON September 15 the newly resurfaced and upgraded car parks at Orleton Village Hall and Recreation Ground were officially opened by Mrs Maggs Lewin in the presence of the Parish Council, members of the Orleton Village Hall Management Trustees, representatives of the Orleton Recreation Association and local residents.
The chairman of the Trustees, Don Pichard, said "Thanks are due to the Parish Council who had financed the project and to Tarmacadam Driveways Ltd, the local contractors who had undertaken the work."
In responding, the chairman of the Parish Council, Cllr Richard Jack, said "The Parish Council was pleased to have been able to support this project as the village hall was a valuable and well used asset at the heart of village life."
