LIZ Roberts practice nurse at the Meadows Medical practice in Knighton and Clun for the last 27 years has just retired. To mark the event Liz and her husband John were invited to a special retirement meal at the Castle Hotel in Bishops Castle. Most of Liz's work colleagues were present as well as few former colleagues. During the event Liz was presented with a bouquet of flowers and other gifts and thanked by Dr Roger Davies for her hard work and commitment over the years.
Liz qualified as a nurse in Hereford before having her two children and returned to work nearly 27 years ago when they were a little older. Liz said "I will really miss all my patients, the doctors and staff I have worked with over the years". Liz is now still going to be as busy as ever and is going to spend time with her 5 grand children, become a volunteer with the CAB. Witness service, who support prosecution witnesses in court and will join a walking club.
