SATURDAY will see members of the rural youth organisation gather at The Cave Farm, Bridgnorth, WV16 6AQ for their annual County rally, by kind permission of the Giles family.

Armed with their biggest shoes and brightest coloured costumes, members will be participating in a variety of competitions based on this year's theme, 'the circus'.

The rally committee have put on some entertaining and exciting competitions for Shropshire's 1000 members, and they won't be disappointed with challenges such the mystery tight rope game, unicycle racing and a circus obstacle course.

Along with those contests for fun, members will compete in stock judging, shearing, bricklaying, flower arranging and cake decorating. With a fantastic number of entries from Shropshire's 18 clubs, there is set to be an incredible amount of talent showcased on Saturday.

Preparation for this year's event has been taking place since summer 2015, and rally chairman Joe Williams say he's extremely excited to see what members have to offer. "Each year the competition is getting tougher and tougher and members are really raising the standard with their entries. Everyone is already talking about who is going to win the rally 2016."

The event couldn't run without the ongoing support of local businesses that kindly sponsor the event. 2016 is extremely grateful to FBC Manby Bowdler, along with the main sponsors of SFYFC - NFU Mutual, Pickstock Telford, Hatchers Solicitors, Shropshire Farm Vets and Alltech E-CO2. "We wouldn't be able to offer such a fantastic day for the members without the support from these businesses, and we are so thankful to them" says Nikki Hockenhull, Rally Secretary.

Everyone is welcome to come along to the rally to see what Shropshire has to offer, entry is free and the day will run from 9.30am until approximately 6pm. For further details please contact the SFYFC office on 01743 442880 or visit sfyfc.org.uk.
