SARAH Hulland who runs a farm in south Shropshire has become a shareholder with a major firm of estate agents in the county.

The first female shareholder has been appointed by Halls, a firm of estate agents, chartered surveyors, auctioneers and valuers.

Sarah Hulland, aged 32, becomes an agricultural director after 13 years’ service.

She joined the company’s head office in Shrewsbury in July, 2002 on her placement year from Harper Adams University College, Newport. Following her graduation with a degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management in 2004, she took on a permanent roll at the Kidderminster office.

Sarah went on to qualify as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2006 and as a fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers in 2007.

She specialises in all rural professional matters and co-runs the monthly stone machinery sale.

A farmer’s daughter who grew up on a livestock farm predominantly breeding pedigree Limousin’ cattle and Texel sheep, she was involved with Cleobury Mortimer Young Farmers Club before leaving for university.

Sarah married Paul Hulland in 2011 and they have a daughter. They now run their own livestock farm in South Shropshire, which they have established in the last five years.
