THE Ludlow Cancer Support Group is holding its first AGM at noon tomorrow (July 24). "The meeting takes place in the Parish Room of St Peter's Church in Henley Road", said chairman, Rosemary Wood. "Everyone is welcome and we look forward to creating an exciting Programme of Events for 2015-2016".

The Ludlow Cancer Support Group first met in September last year, and since then members have taken part in a variety of activities. "We have enjoyed painting, poetry, music, flower arranging, and a general knowledge quiz, as well as talks from medical experts", said Rosemary.

The group aims to provide a sociable and welcoming environment where, through friendship and shared experience, members can find additional strength to cope with their situation. Meetings take place in the Parish Room of St Peter's Church, Henley Road, Ludlow, from 11am-12.45pm on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month.

Membership/attendance is free to anyone diagnosed with cancer, regardless of how long ago the diagnosis was made. The AGM is the last meeting of the 2014-2015 session, and the group re-convenes at 11am on September 11.
