ONE of the more unusual items on sale at the Bishop's Castle monthly farmers’ market is goat’s milk soap.
The markets are held at the newly refurbished town hall on the third Saturday of every month
They have been a feature of the life of the town for many years and the focus is to enable producers within a 30 mile radius of Bishop's Castle to sell and to showcase their produce.
People who come to the market include local residents doing a Saturday shop as well as those who are visiting the town and south Shropshire.
The regular market stall holders include a bacon seller, and those selling other meats, cakes, bread, fruit and vegetables.
Some of the items for sale are prepared on the day of the market.
