LUDLOW Mayor Paul Draper described a busy year for the town when he addressed the annual residents meeting.
He said that there had been a number of highlights that had seen improvements to amenities for people living in Ludlow.
Mr Draper said that the new Ludlow Boxing Club had been a major achievement that had been brought to fruition thanks to a partnership involving the town council, Shropshire Housing Association, businesses from the town, and the local community.
He told the town meeting at Ludlow Assembly Rooms that work to transform the Buttercross into an educational heritage centre was nearing completion.
The mayor also said that work to improve facilities for young people on the play area at the Linney had also been successfully completed.
Finally, he said that the awarding of the Freedom of Ludlow had been a great success that had only been made possible by support from businesses and local people.
