TWO new jobs have been created at a Ludlow law firm.

The commercial division at mfg Solicitors have been bolstered with two specialist appointments.

Commercial property expert Samantha Paxton has joined mfg, which has offices in Corve Street, as an associate.

And fellow associate Janet Humphries, a corporate specialist with a reputation for leading complex investment transactions, has also moved to mfg.

With an eight-year career Samantha specialises in a variety of commercial matters including estate management for private and public sector landlords and tenants, property sale and lease back deals and acquisitions.

Janet, an experienced corporate lawyer who has advised clients across the UK over the past 20 years, is an expert in business transfers, corporate finance and has carved a reputation for advising businesses seeking financial investment.

Both will be working alongside commercial partner Sarah Astbury.

“Samantha and Janet both join us with outstanding reputations for their expertise, experience and advice across a whole host of corporate and commercial legal matters,” said Sarah Astbury.

“Together they will be immense assets to mfg and for our clients as we continue to develop services we provide across both the public and private sectors.

“They join the firm at a time of growth and both have the calibre to fit seamlessly into what is an already experienced team. I am certain they will contribute to the ongoing success of the firm in the months and years ahead.”

mfg’s commercial division deals with a wide spectrum of property, corporate and transactional matters, with expanding niche expertise in the hospitality industry, including many Michelin starred restaurants, healthcare and dentistry.

The business has 33 partners and employs more than 160 people. They have eight offices across the West Midlands with main branches in Ludlow, Worcester, Kidderminster, Telford, and Bromsgrove.
