ON March 19, year one pupils from Bishops Castle Primary School visited the Heritage Resource Centre in Chapel Yard to look at artefacts from the House on Crutches Museum.
The year one class topic for this half term is Light and Dark.
Assisted by the volunteer staff the six-year-old pupils were able to look at candles, candle makers, candle holders and different kinds of oil lamp.
Just outside the centre they looked at the tool that was used to switch the old electric street light on and off.
The House on Crutches Museum will open to the general public again after Easter.
