PHILIP Dunne MP visited Hope C of E Primary School last week to congratulate head teacher Kirsty Foulkes, staff and governors on the Good Ofsted rating which the school achieved recently.
Mr Dunne said: "I was most impressed by the quality of teaching and improvement in achievement by pupils at Hope School after a difficult period a few years ago. The children gave me a very warm welcome and we had an excellent lesson in which I was probed with perceptive questions about my role as an MP."
Hope School has seen a big influx of children and opened a pre-school unit taking total numbers up to 50 children.
