AN unstoppable shot from James Robertson was not enough to save Woofferton from a 3-2 HFA Burghill Cup second- round exit against Shobdon.
Two quick-fire first-half goals from Shobdon knocked the stuffing out of the Blues and when a third was added shortly into the second-half it looked game over for Steve Chadd’s side.
But Woofferton got themselves back into the game when the referee pointed to the penalty spot after Simon Bradley was upended in the box.
He converted the spot-kick and then Robertson grabbed his goal in the last minute.
A minute’s silence was held before the game in memory of big Shobdon supporter Bill Moore, who died recently.
