A 51-year-old man from Rickmansworth appeared in court on Monday in connection with an alleged £11 million international drugs smuggling scam.

Martin Holden, of Harefield Road, and Richard Parker, 56, of Park Close, Hampton, Middlesex, appeared before Slough Magistrates on Monday on three drugs charges.

The pair were arrested on Friday afternoon in connection with a three-month surveillance operation carried out by the National Crime Squad under the banner Operation Naomi.

More than 30 Officers swooped on the men at Nestings Storing Depot in Bracknell, Berkshire.

The men were taken to Berkshire's Loddon Valley Police Station where they were questioned by detectives.

They were subsequently charged with conspiracy to supply class B drugs, possession of class B drugs with intent to supply, and supplying class B drugs to persons unknown.

Parker, of Park Close, Hampton, Middlesex did not apply for bail. Holden, of Harefield Road, Rickmansworth, was refused bail.

Both men were remanded in custody until Monday.
