Man stopped in Ludlow admits possessing heroin

LEOMINSTER man has been given a 12-month community order after he was charged with a drug offence for the 42nd time.
Scott Jones, from Cheaton Close, pleaded guilty to supplying heroin to William Pilliner when he appeared at Hereford Magistrates Court last week.
The 34-year-old was in a vehicle with Pilliner that was stopped on the A49 in Ludlow in May.
The court heard that he gave it to Pilliner as a favour for driving him to Wolverhampton and Pilliner in turn was to give it to a friend as pain relief.
Pilliner pleaded guilty to possession of a class A drug with intent to supply and was given a conditional discharge for nine months.
