MODEL railway magazines dating back to the 1950s will be among the items at a mammoth book fair in Clun.
The book fair is the latest fund-raising effort on behalf of the St George’s Building Fund at Clun.
Organiser Tim Wood, who also runs The Old Surgery Gallery in Clun, has promised the hall will be full of titles of every description.
Publications will include The Railway Magazine from August, 1954, through to December, 1975, and copies of Model Railway Journals from 1985 to 1996.
Many of the books available have been donated by the people of Clun to sell in aid of the church building fund but Tim will also be selling volumes on behalf of the Joliba Trust, which helps the people of Mali, and is a charity that the people of Clun have taken to their heart.
In addition to that Tim will sell books in aid of St Aidan’s Church in Leeds where he also has connections.
The book fair is on Saturday from 10am to 3pm at the Hightown Community Centre There will be refreshments available. Admission is 50p with accompanied children under 14 free.
