Tenbury High School achieves best ever results

TENBURY High School has recorded its best ever set of exam results.
Students collecting their results not only had cause to celebrate individual successes but also the best collective performance in the history of the school that was built in the 1950s.
The improvement in results also bucked the national trend which has seen the end of years of grade inflation.
“Well done everyone this is an excellent set of results and the students deserve what has been achieved,” said head teacher Stuart Cooke.
“We are really pleased for the pupils because they have pulled out all the stops.
“This year is one of the strongest year groups we have had – very settled and conscientious.”
At the school 62 per cent of pupils achieved the Government benchmark of five or more passes at grade A-C compared with 56 per cent in 2011.
