Check out African beats this weekend in Ludlow

Kakatsitsi Kakatsitsi

THE sounds and colours of Africa are coming to Ludlow.

Kakatsitsi are a group of traditional drummers, dancers and singers from the Ga tribe of Southern Ghana.

Their music takes traditional rhythms and chants from their own, and other West African cultures, and rearranges them in a modern and accessible way.

Since 1996, Kakatsitsi have toured the UK nine times, working with a wide variety of festivals, arts centres, local authorities and in with Sir Bob Geldof on the morning of the G8 summit.

There is a dance workshop at Ludlow Assembly Rooms on Saturday, July 21, at 5.30pm followed by a full concert at 7.30pm.
