JIM Yeomans, Adrian Edwards and Stephen Giles were the heroes as top-of-the-table Tenbury 2nd thrashed Malvern 2nd by nine wickets in Worcestershire County League Division Three.

They all got three wickets each with Giles’ 3-6 being particularly impressive as Malvern were bowled out for just 85.

An unbeaten 50 from Darren Thompson — including eight fours — then steered Tenbury home, while Kier Sellars also got 25.

Tenbury First XI also enjoyed success as they beat Malvern by 18 runs to go second in the table.

Despite being bowled out for 102, Alexander Mason (3-20), Aaron Morris (3-26) and George Pearson (3-9) saved the day as they dismissed Malvern for 84.
