Tenbury's pub library will continued to serve customers

Just popping out to return some books...
THE combination of a book and a pint has proved so popular in Tenbury that it is being continued.
When the Teme Bridge closed Tenbury Library decided to put a small number of non-fiction books into the car at the Rose and Crown in Burford.
“The idea was that people on the other side of the bridge could pick up a book and return it to the pub,”
said Sally Matthews, manager at Tenbury Library.
“Now we have decided to keep it going. People who go into the Rose and Crown can pick up a book and return it when they are next in for a drink.”
It has been decided to restrict the books to popular non-fiction editions and keep the arrangements for collection of books very simple.
In the main Tenbury Library an exhibition offering information and advice to carers is being held in the upstairs area.
