A STUDENT from Tenbury is behind a a highly praised film production.

Frederick Lloyd, a 21-yearold student at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) at Farnham, directed sci-fi thriller Pantheon and helped construct the set.

Film technician Chris Pinnock, who worked with the likes of Steven Spielberg, David Lean and Ken Loach during his 40 year film career, believes it is one best student sets he has seen since working at UCA.

Pantheon tells the story of an astronaut who becomes stranded in space so the set, which took three weeks to build, plays a big part in the film.

“We are incredibly happy with the set,” said Frederick.

“It looked better than any of us could have ever hoped for, especially on camera.

“I like everything about it but the most satisfying part is that we were able to make it look pretty much exactly how we had planned and imagined, thanks largely to my fantastic crew, our tutors and the caretakers who let us stay late to get it finished.

“Being set in space, the set plays a central role in this film. It begins to disintegrate as time goes on and the astronaut has to fight to survive within it, as the satellite works against him.”
