SPECIALIST police search teams are back out in Orleton again this week as the hunt for missing pensioner Alethea Taylor widens its scope.

There has been no sight or sign of the 63-year-old for nearly two months now with all her clothes, shoes and any obvious access she might have to money apparently left behind at her home.

The search for Alethea is being co-ordinated by a police operation called Impact which classes her as a high risk missing person.

Last week, specialist search teams, guided by equally specialist geographic profilers, scoured woodlands and fields just outside of Orleton off the A49.

This week the search teams are back but working across a wider area.

Detectives working on Impact have no confirmation of Alethea suffering from a condition that could cause amnesia or a complete breakdown.

All the solid evidence so far has her at the centre of a strong social circle within a tight knit community.

And, for the time being, police have no plans to scale the search down.
