POLICE are becomging increasingly concerned for a missing Herefordshire woman.

Alethea Taylor, who is 63, has not been seen since yesterday (Thursday) morning when she left her Orleton home to go to work.

She is described as being white, around 5ft 7ins tall and having short dark, but slightly greying hair and was last seen wearing her night clothes, although at this stage it is unclear whether she was wearing them when she left home.

An enormous amount of work was done in and around Orleton last night, including the use of the police helicopter to assist in the search, but Alethea has been been found.

"We now have a large number of officers assisting with the search for Alethea, but we would ask that anyone who believes they may have seen her since yesterday morning to contact us immediately," said police spokesman Chris Ammonds.

"Aletha's family and friends are becoming more and more concerned about her and therefore it is vital we find her and reunite her with her husband as soon as we can."
