A JOINT venture between Ludlow Assembly Rooms and the Civic Society has brought a splash of colour to the town centre.

Ludlow Assembly Rooms is now sporting colourful banners, designed to tell customers what goes on in the building.

This project was the brainchild of Paula Redway, the outgoing director.

“Whenever we did a survey in the town, we found a surprising number of people who were unaware that there was an Arts Centre and cinema in town,”

said Paula.

“The banners alert everyone – including visitors to the town – to the fact that we’re here, and to some of the many things that we do. This has been a pet project of mine for quite some time, and I am absolutely delighted that it’s happened at last.”

It has been made possible by the generous donations of supporters, including the Civic Society, and Market Towns Revitilisation Programme.

“We are delighted that the Civic Society was able to support this worthy project,” said Tony Cant, treasurer of the group.

“I had several discussions with Paula on the merits of the plan and was convinced that the project was well worth backing. We wish the Assembly Rooms every success.”
