A CLEE Hill sports ground is being levelled thanks to money raised in weekly sales on the site.
The Knowle Sports Club has held Saturday morning sales in the field for 18 years.
Now more than £40,000 has been raised to fund the longawaited work.
The work involves levelling the field that has a slope of 15 feet from one end to the other. It is also being reseeded and a new drainage system installed.
Construction machinery has been on the site for two weeks and work should be finished by the end of September.
