Just under 80 competitors took part in the event which consisted of six special stages around the complex.
The event was won by Stephen Price in a Metro 6R4 after the early leader, Peter Lloyd, was forced to retire his Subaru WRC on the very last stage of the day with mechanical problems. Gary and Mark also had mechanical problems which plagued their Sierrra Cosworth 4x4 throughout the day.
In spite of this handicap and also hitting a bank of tyres head-on on the last stage, Gary and Mark managed to finish 15th overall and fifth in their class.
