WHY are people constantly being negative about Tenbury when it has a lot going for it?

Does the town want to be a clone like other towns?

Negative publicity is doing harm to the prosperity of the town but there are many improvements that have been made in Tenbury.

Tenbury does not show signs of major decline when there’s only seven shops empty, one of which has been empty for the past 15 years or more.

Businesses are functioning and can provide most things.

It is a rural market town with plenty of history and pleasant surroundings.

There’s plenty of free parking in Palmers Meadow car park with 120 spaces and Malvern Hils District Council’s pay-and-display lies behind the library.

Both of these are within walking distance of the town centre. In 2004 a Parish Plan was produced to identify areas for improvement in Tenbury and Burford and this has become the blueprint for future enhancement.

The aims of the document are to foster community activity in Tenbury and Burford, and also to feed issues highlighted in the plan into county and district community strategies.
