AN illustrated talk on the history of Wales told through its fabulous and often unknown gardens will be given by author Helena Attlee.

Helena has specialised in garden writing and approaches the subject through the cultural history and stories of the people connected with the garden she writes about.

She has written several books on gardens including Italian Gardens: a Cultural History and contributes regularly to Country Life, the Saturday Daily Telegraph magazine and The World of Interiors.

Helena’s talk is part of the annual meeting of the Friends of Ludlow Assembly Rooms and is exclusively for the Friends.

It costs just £15 a year to join and help support the Assembly Rooms. For further details, call 01584 873229.
