AN elderly woman was robbed of her handbag in Church Stretton yesterday.
The 89-year-old was walking along Central Avenue at just after 1pm on Wednesday September 9 when she was pushed into a hedge by a woman and robbed.
It is unclear what was taken.
The suspect is described as white, in her late teens or early 20s, of slim build and wearing a light coloured top and trousers.
"Fortunately, she was not seriously hurt but it was a shocking and distressing experience for her," said DS Dave Meyer.
