LUDLOW Town Colts went down 2-1 in their opening Shropshire Alliance fixture at Bayston Hill.
Ali Carvell opened the scoring in the first half, but then fired a penalty over the bar after Hill had taken a 2-1 lead.
There were other chances to snatch a point, but those also went begging.
