A record number of Ludlow shops are taking part in this year’s window dressing competition for the Food & Drink Festival. The festival, the largest event in the town calendar, starts tomorrow (Friday) and runs throughout the weekend.

Shops’ imaginative and mouth-watering displays will enhance the town for the whole weekend.

Each participating shop will display a competition card in the window they have entered and members of the public are invited to bestow the people’s choice award. Entry forms will be available at the festival information stand outside the castle.

Participating shops are: Castle Square: Castle Bookshop, Chocolate Gourmet; Church Street: The Mousetrap; Market Street: Chichi, Material; High Street: Orvis; The Buttercross: Pitter Patter; Broad Street: The Silver Pear, Broad Bean, Roundabout, Poyners Ladies, Poyners Children, The Wool Shop, De Grey’s Cafe; King Street: Tenovus, Tara clothing, Hope House; Pepper Lane: Country Kitchen, Pepper Lane Vintage; Old Street: Fudge Shop, Cats Protection; Bull Ring: Pye Powder, Wind Light; Oxfam, Rickards, C W/Sellors, Robin Elt Shoes; Tower Street: The French Pantry, Unique; Corve Street: Emporos, Tiger Lily, Red, Severn Hospice, Florabunda, Precious Earth, Myriad Organics; Station Drive: Abundant.
