IT will be the end of an era next week for dedicated show secretary Jane Hill.
Jane will oversee her last Richards Castle Produce and Flower Show.
After 27 years as secretary of the show Jane is finishing and unless a replacement can be found it may be the end of an event that began in 1982.
Jane, aged 60, says that she wants to spend more time in future with her family and following other interests.
She also feels that it is appropriate to introduce new blood to take the event forward.
Although a committee helps Jane with the show, so far no one has been found to take on the secretary’s job, putting the future of the event in jeopardy.
The Richards Castle Produce and Flower Show is in the Village Hall on Saturday, August 29, starting at 2pm.
