Training centre notches up its fifth anniversary

LUDLOW Learning Centre, part of Shropshire Council’s County Training, is celebrating its fifth anniversary.

The centre, based in Old Street, has provided both training and support into work for the local community since 2004.

County Training is the largest training organisation in Shropshire, with seven other bases.

It is a major provider of work-based training for school leavers and for adults, either returning to work or retraining for the job market. Apprenticeship and NVQ training is also available in an array of areas.

“The Ludlow Learning Centre is a real asset to people within Ludlow and outside villages and towns,” said centre manager Teresa Sylvester.

“Located in the centre of town, it is ideally placed and helps to provide many individuals with the support and guidance they need to either progress with their training or get back into work.”

The centre also boasts a working hair salon.

Interested customers can book appointments and there is also a loyalty scheme available.

It provides a facility for those training to become hairdressers and barbers.
