This message was given to 50 members and friends of Shropshire Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT ) when they walked along two-and-a-half miles of the River Corve, a tributary to the River Teme at Munslow.

The host was Frank Bury, accompanied by Dylan Roberts, adviser with the GWCT, who had been called in by Mr Bury in 2003 to help following a decline in catches.

He identified several problems and was able to show how management aids since then, including control of both bank erosion and shading of the river by bank-side trees, had increased catches.

The next event will be a shoot walk at Aston-on-Clun Farm on July 2 and for more information, call Kevan Fox on 01743 718670
