TWO regular summer events at Tenbury High School are the Tenbury version of ‘Race for Life’, which raises money for Cancer Relief, and the annual school fete run by the PTFA.
All pupils took part in the Cancer Relief fund-raising, coming to school dressed in pink. There was a competition for the most ‘pink’ pupil and member of staff.
Over 500 pink cakes were baked and consumed.
The pupil winner was Morwenna Vaughan and the member of staff was Terry Thacker.
After school, the staff took part in a 5K walk or run around St Michael’s and a barbecue at the home of Mar y Jordan, who had organised the event.
A total of £700 was raised for the charity.
The next event will be the fete/barbecue, which takes place on Friday, July 10, in the evening at school.
