A FORMER student at Tenbury High School has won a scholarship award and a share of £50,000.
Daniel Bradley, who is studying engineering design at Harper Adams College, was awarded a McConnel Scholarship.
The 19-year-old former Tenbury Wells High School student won the award on the basis of his CV and written application.
“I was absolutely over the moon to find out that I had been awarded the scholarship,” said Daniel.
“The key factor that made winning the scholarship more enjoyable was that I have always lived near to McConnel and watched how the company has progressed and rapidly expanded over the years.
“I hope that, by winning the scholarship, I may have the opportunity to help McConnel continue with its success.
“Being awarded the scholarship has helped immensely with funding my time at Harper Adams and, as a result, I am not as financially worried.”
Daniel was one of three scholars sponsored by Ludlow-based McConnel.
They were presented with their awards by Geoff Davies OBE, managing director of McConnel and of its parent group Alamo Europe.
