PO offering two-day outreach service

A POST office service for two days a week is to be offered in Lydbury North.

The proposal for a hosted outreach service was subject to a public consultation, which closed on October 27.

After reviewing feedback received on the proposal, Post Office Ltd has decided that a hosted outreach service will be established to replace the closing branch.

A reduced service will operate from the site of the existing Post Office at 61 Lydbury North on Mondays and Thursdays between 9.30am and 11.30am.

The standard range of products and services will continue to be available through the hosted service.

“We appreciate that any decision to close a post office branch will be unpopular,” said Mark Partington, of Post Office Ltd.

“But we have to make changes in order to put the network on a more stable footing for the future and achieve this in a way which best meets the demands and concerns of its customers.

The hosted service that will serve Lydbury North means customers can continue to access services locally.”
