LUDLOW racecourse is to host a fundraising event for a Shropshire orthopaedic hospital.
The event is being organised by members of the Ludlow branch of the League of Friends to the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry.
Over the years, the fair has raised tens of thousands of pounds with the money spent on improving the lives of patients, staff and visitors at the hospital.
It is the second biggest event in the League’s busy fundraising calendar, topped only by the organisation‘s summer fete held at the hospital.
“This will be our twelfth Christmas fair and we are hoping to raise a record amount,” said John Francis, Ludlow branch secretary.
There will be around 40 stalls, including the Ludlow branch’s cake stall, selling a wide range of high quality goods ideal for Christmas .
As in previous years the event is sponsored by Land Rover dealers Shuker’s of Ludlow. The fair, on Tuesday, opens at 10.30am.
